Game canceled

The game got canceled on timeout. The guilty inflicted irrevokable damage to his goodstanding, having no rational excuse for the behavior.

How to play

The GG3 Open board game traces its lineage back to iconic family of the tabletop strategy games, such as Stratego, L'Attaque, Dou Shou Qi, and, above all, the legendary Game of the Generals.

GG3 - Game of the Generals

While sharing a foundation with the pioneering titles, GG3 sits at the apex of the series' evolution as it injects fresh strategic depth through a modified ruleset, reimagined core mechanics, and fundamentally unique behaviors across the new unit ranks — all coming together for a whole new layer of dynamic gameplay.

Let's take a quick tour through the rules of the game.

Units

Make love, not war. We stick to the beauty of nature and the biodiversity of the planet, waving farewell to the brain-frying twenty military ranks of the original Game of the Generals.

Now, the ecosystem takes charge of the board with pure animalistic instinct — and that’s where the fun begins!

There are 6 types of units in the game:

Game of the Generals Jaguar Unit Game of the Crocodile Jaguar Unit Game of the Generals Eagle Unit
Jaguars, Crocodiles, Eagles,
Game of the Generals Snake Unit Game of the Crocodile Mosquito Unit
Snakes, Mosquitos,
Game of the Generals Fruit Unit
and Fruit.

Jaguar— the apex predator om-noms Crocodile and Eagle.

Crocodile— eliminates Eagle.

Snake— bites both Jaguar and Crocodile.

Eagle— removes Snakes.

Mosquito— is the deepest disturb for everyone, he pwns any unit on the board, but he dies himself in the interaction, a one-timer.

Fruit— surrenders to any unit, and if a Fruit attacks the other Fruit, the defending Fruit shall be captured.

Fruit is actually a Flag as in the capture-the-flag paradigm.

If you are familiar with the Game of the Generals — Jaguars are five-star generals, Crocodiles are four-star, Eagles are privates hunting on Snakes the spies.

Mosquito does not have any analogy in the original GG but finds his brother-in-arms in a recent variant of GG called Gambit, so Mosquito is a drone, a kamikaze unit.

Objectives

The winning condition of the game is to capture the enemy Fruit.

Game of the Generals Fruit Unit - the Flag
The Fruit is the goal

Either you can win eye-catchingly by Touchdown:

For the touchdown, you navigate your Fruit across the entire field to the last row. Executing this takes true mastery of tricking the enemy into believing your moving piece is anything but a Fruit. But if you pull it off, the rapture of triumph compares only to forking a king and queen with a lone knight — makes every risk worth it.

Unlike the classic Flag-run rule in the original Game of the Generals, which feels outdated and tediously slow, the Touchdown triggers an immediate victory.

That is why we call it Touchdown.
